Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday so it's MY day!  No floofy little sisfurs to bother me...
Just me and my crinkly paper...
Did you notice my little pink tongue?  I know, I'm so cute you can hardly stand it aren't I?

Hope your day is filled with all kinds of cuteness!

Stolen Sunpuddle

After last week's dreary weather the sunpuddles returned over the weekend.  I found the perfect spot to enjoy the sunpuddle but Mommy found me...
The sunpuddle was too good to move so I just got more comfy...
Uh oh, somekitty also found me!
Maybe she'll be distracted and leave me alone...
No such luck...
*sigh*
Little sisfurs can be pains in the patooty!

Hope nobuddy steals your sunpuddles today!

Happy Fall!

Happy first Sadieday of Fall!  We've had a chilly, rainy week so have been watching the leaves fall behind closed windows.  Our sisfur Sadie enjoyed strolling through the first falling leaves every year...
They always made her smile...
It's important to do whatever makes your heart happy!  The resulting smile will brighten your face as well as the faces of others.  Spread some happy smiles this Sadieday and every day!

Have a wonderful Sadieday and a great weekend!

Not Freeze Dried Fans

We always love deliveries from Chewy.com since they usually have something yummy inside...
This delivery contained Primal Freeze Dried Turkey Liver Munchies.  They're wholesome, human-grade snacks for both dogs and cats containing no preservatives, gluten or grain.  They are also made in the USA.  The purple package makes it look promising...
After a thorough sniff test, I tasted one piece and that was enough...
Isabella gave it a thorough sniff test too...
But she wouldn't even try it...
No matter how much we wanted to like freeze dried treats, we don't.  Not at all.  Sorry Chewy.com but we can't give these any paws up but we do like your box...
Even though we didn't like these treats, we thank you Chewy.com!
If you haven't ordered from Chewy.com yet, we hope you check them out when you need foods, litter, treats or toys delivered directly to your home!  They even have free delivery on all orders over $49!

Do you like freeze dried treats?

We hope you have a treat filled day!
Angel

Disclaimer:  Chewy.com sent us one package of Primal Freeze Dried Turkey Liver Munchies for free.  We received no other compensation.  As you can tell, our opinions were not influenced by this since we only like what we like.

Sure Sign of Fall

One sign of fall around here...
Cooler temps means snuggle buddy time!

We hope you have plenty of snuggles today!
Angel and Isabella

PeeS:  Sorry for the poor quality photo, it was taken with a cell phone in a dark room with a flash.  Not a good combination but we were too cute for Mommy to pass up!

Wednesday Wildlife

While in Colorado last week, Mommy went on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and saw that despite notices to not feed the wildlife, someone had given this little guy a cracker.  She told him it wasn't polite to eat with his mouth open...
Your mouth is still open buddy!
That's much better...
He sure is a cute little booger!  On the other side of the size scale, Mommy saw this guy and even heard him bugle since it's rut season....
Even though she and Daddy lived in Colorado for 12 years, she'd never heard an elk bugle but do you think she got it on video?  Nope.  *sigh*

Have you heard an elk bugle before?

We hope you have a wild kind of day!

Tortie Tuesday

We had a great time with our Daddy but we're glad that Mommy came home from Colorado yesterday.  I passed up a nap to keep an eye out for her...
I did have backup nearby in case it got too far past naptime...
But for the most part I stayed bright eyed...
And Tortie tailed...
We were both really happy when she got home though.  Now we can catch up on naps and missed treats since Daddy is a tad more stingy dishing them out than she is!

Hope you have a treat filled day too!

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday and the start of the weekend with Daddy!  Mommy is in Colorado so we're going to enjoy extra scritches and extra spoilin' from Daddy...
Oh yeah, life is good.

Of course we miss Mommy but she'll be back soon so we're going to enjoy our time with Daddy and be back next Tuesday.

Have a great weekend!

What Made Mommy Giggle?

It doesn't take much to make our mommy giggle but the other day she got a bad case of the giggles when she saw this...
Then this...
And finally this...
The feets belong to the noisy stranger and our daddy who were working on our front deck...
They didn't find it amusing at all that she took pictures of their feets but yet they didn't see the view she did.  It doesn't help that Mommy is just plain weird sometimes!

Do your peeps giggle at the weirdest things?

Hope you have a day full of giggles!

Tortie Tuesday

I'm sad to say this Tortie Tuesday that my pepper box is in the recycle bin on our curb today.  To make it up to me, Mommy got me this big white box though...
I have to sit up to look out of this box but there's little windows on the side for me to look out...
I spy a mousie...
He didn't spy me so I was able to get him with my quick Tortie paws!
Uh, now what do I do with him?
I think I need bigger windows or a shorter box...
Or maybe a comfy cushion so at least I can take a nap or twenty in here!

Hope you have a Happy Tortie Tuesday!

It's a Tough Job...

I realize it looks like I'm 'just lounging' on my new scratcher...
But actually, I'm being so cute Momma can hardly stand it...
To show what a purrfessional I am I can even switch directions...
And still be so cute Momma can hardly stand it...
I make 'just lounging' look easy so be careful if you try this at home.  It's a tough job but somekitty has to do it!

Hope you enjoy some true lounging today!

Happy Sadieday!

We don't know what it looks like outside in your neck of the woods...
But the leaves are falling in ours!
It still hot in the daytime but it's cool at night so the trees know fall is around the corner.

What's happening in your neck of the woods?

Don't forget to share some Sadieday smiles with others this weekend and always!

Have a great Sadieday and weekend!

Finally Friday

We had another busy week preparing tax returns for the Monday deadline so the only task I can handle at this point is holding down this paper...
It's a tough job but somekitty has to do it.

Hope you have a non-taxing day!

Waiting on Bedtime Treats...

Every night before bed, Isabella and I get treats so I wait for them on the nightstand...
From this position, it also makes it easy to tap, tap, tap on Mommy's forehead at 4am for more treats!

Yes, I'm Angel and I'm a treat-aholic!

Hope you have a treat filled day!

Tortie Tuesday

It's 8:08am on Tortie Tuesday and my post is just now getting together.  Why so late you ask?  Well, Mommy thought she helped me last night but she obviously dreamt it because she didn't.  So, because of that I had to get up extra early today to wait on her.  This picture was taken at 7:59am which is an uncodly hour since it's even before 8!
I guess I need to figure if this is all teaching me something.  Hmmm, let me think, ah yes, patience!  And now here comes the trash truck to test that patience...
Okay, now that all that is over with it's time to ponder my newly learned lesson...
Oh, to halibut with that, time to get in a nap or two or sixteen to make up for getting up extra early today...
I'm not used to doing so much before 8:18 in the mornings!

Are you an early bird, night owl or a sleep all day kind of kitty!

Happy Tortie Tuesday!
Isabella

PeeS:  If she's late in helping tomorrow, oh well!  I'm only responsible for Tortie Tuesday!

Are You Ready for Emergencies?

We have a very important reminder today and that is to remind you to plan for emergencies.  Mommy and Daddy have been talking about an emergency plan but so far they've just planned to have a plan.  Even though we don't have bad storms or tornadoes in our area, there is a remote chance of an earthquake and as we discovered Friday, there's always a chance for wildfires...
Photo by Andy Cripe - Corvallis Gazette Times
That fire began at 8:30 Friday night a half mile away from our house.  Mommy found out about it when she happened to check Facebook one minute after our local paper posted news on it.  She looked out the upstairs window and sure enough, she saw flames and a huge red glow.  The fire looked really close so she started pacing the house and planning for an evacuation.  If we did have to leave our home, one of Mommy's friends offered shelter for all of us at her house which we were very grateful for.  The question came what would they take.  The ASPCA has helpful information on being prepared for disasters which you can see by clicking here.  Yesterday Mommy started stockpiling stuff for us with a purchase of a small litter box and canned foods stored near our PTU's.  She'll get the rest of the stuff and also order a small bag of the litter we like too (we're picky)...
They are closer to being prepared but still have a ways to go.  They'll figure out for sure what needs to be grabbed in a hurry, where it's at and who is responsible for grabbing it.  As for us, Isabella is pretty easy to find since she's usually where they are.  By midnight Friday, she was ready for bed...
I hide in several different places so if the fire department knocked on our door, I'd be hidden in .023 seconds.  I'll come out for the opening of a can of stinky goodness so that's part of the plan - if I'm hiding, Mommy is in charge of finding me by opening a can of foods.  Anyway, the point is to have a plan of action if something were to happen causing you to have to leave your home whether it's immediately, in five minutes or fifteen - be prepared!  The day after the fire near us, the photo below shows how close the fire came to homes and apartments.  The fire department did a fabulous job of putting the fire out and saving every structure...

This has opened our eyes that emergencies can happen at any time for any reason and we need to be prepared.  It could be a natural disaster or something exploding or burning at a neighbor's house which threatens your house.  Please do check out the ASPCA's information to make sure you know what you need to be ready!

Do you already have an emergency plan?  Any tips you want to share?

Hope you have a safe day!
Angel and Isabella
